I missed the start as well. ! Will wait for the presentation to come out and recap.
I am on that one tonight
Well it worked out as, Gemini Recovery on Saturday, Catseye & Bulldog recovery on the Sunday.
A good weekend of training was had, the weather was not…shall we say the best. Rain and flooding in some parts on the Sunday, but all in all a good weekend.
How many AMRO crews do we have going?
If you are buying it Ian/other NI crew, I am 90 mins from Holyhead or 20mins from Birkenhead docks if that’s of any help
Thanks to Helen, Jonathon, Ian C and Andy T for the event (food supplier/venue organiser/assessors) for a good day at Telford for the training day. The weather was good for us considering what it could have been/was the day before.
Cheers
Cheers Ralph. I see there are a few listed that may not be recovery specific as such i.e the U17MC events and M65 Blackburn services.
Have a good festive period of celebrations!
Thanks Neil.
Are there plans to try again for this training venue before the end of the year?
I imagine the site would have been a bit muddy.
I’m not sure I would want to be on standby for 24hrs even with 2 units. I am sure there are H&S requirements in there surrounding breaks etc (not just for recovery but also rescue, marshals as well etc)
Costs wise, I would start at minimum of 2 x your normal rate – in effect two days of event + accommodation if required.
Interested to know what event etc and if under MSA regs.
Have fun on the Wyedean and also at sunny Blyton.
A good weekend out rallying in the tiger van, complete with a furry co-pilot.
Got home a bit later than planned on the Sunday due to the incident on the M62.
Hope the hand has healed Jon.
cheers
Found a video on YouTube of the 110 in action, watch from 6.40 for the car we recovered (the one in the pic above)
Picture of the Corsa, thanks to Hairpin Media
A block of wood under the passanger side wheel to lift up the bumper from the ground as it was towed forwards to the track
What’s the location of the Scottish event?
